Halloween Sangria
 
Ingredients
black cherry grenadine syrup
  • 1 cup black cherry juice
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup sugar
chardonnay sangria
  • 1 bottle Woodbridge Chardonnay
  • 2 cups sparkling wine/champagne
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 4-5 red delicious apples, thinly sliced
  • 5-6 pears, thinly sliced
  • fresh herbs for decor
Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until mixture resembles a thin syrup. Let syrup cool completely before using.
chardonnay sangria
  1. Combine chardonnay, sparkling wine, and apple juice in a pitcher. Fill glasses with apple and pear slices. Pour chardonnay mixture to cover. Slowly pour grenadine syrup down the inside of each glass and let it sink to the bottom. Garnish with herbs if desired
