Instead, what we’ve got here is literally just lemon juice, a splash of grenadine (which is where this PERFECT shade of pink comes from), tequila, and simple syrup. That’s it! I was tempted to add some bubbled just for funsies, but I decided to keep things simple.
I used freshly squeezed lemon juice, but if you’re making these margaritas for a crowd, that could be a lot of work. And since it’s the summer and it’s hot and the purpose of making these cocktails is to chill and relax, I think you could substitute your favorite brand of lemonade. And since lemonade already has sugar in it, just adjust the simple syrup in the recipe because you might not need as much of it.
Aside from your liquors and your fave alcohols, I love to keep some fun glasses and cocktail napkins on my bar cart. I also have a giant cup full of drink umbrellas! Because nothing says ~summer party~ quite like a cocktail stuffed with fruit and a drink umbrella in it.
Also for summer entertaining, I think it’s great to set out some fresh summer produce for garnishes. There are SO MANY great things in season that’d be perfect in a cocktail. For these Pink Lemonade Margaritas, I used lemon slices and some fresh cherries because I saw them in the grocery store and they were too pretty to pass up. Herbs are also great for decorating cocktails, so I picked up some mint and thyme. Basil would be great with these too!
Pink Lemonade Margaritas

1-2 oz simple syrup
1 oz tequila
Splash of grenadine
mint or basil
cherries, strawberries, or raspberries
