Happy Tuesday! I’ve got a quick post for y’all today. And sorry in advance for linking to another recipe. But I think you guys will like this one. 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, I was in the grocery store looking at some strawberries, and I looked up and saw the most gorgeous cherries. I’ve never made anything with cherries before, which is kind of weird now that I think about, but they were too pretty to pass up.
I immediately thought about making black forest cupcakes. But of course they couldn’t be regular cupcakes. And making bourbon black forest something had been on my mind for a while.
So bourbon cherry filling happened. I actually made it with maraschino cherries specifically for the color, but you can pit your own cherries and make it that way if you want!
Swirled frosting is like my new favorite thing. I just love it. I want to put it on everything! Frosting for daaayyys.
There are four components to these cupcakes: chocolate cake, bourbon cherry filling, vanilla frosting, and cherry frosting. It might seem like a lot, but it’s all easy to make. And you can leave out the filling or only go with one frosting. Totally up to you! Buuut you should make all of it. 😉
