As excited as I am for college football, I feel like it should still be a month away. But that stems from my inability to comprehend the fact that it’s already SEPTEMBER. Has time always moved as fast as an Alabama running back booking it toward the end zone? As fast as Nick Saban’s face turns red while yelling at football players on the sideline? As fast as me running across the UA quad on game day toward the deep fried Oreo stand!?
Idk. It can’t be all bad when Whiskey Bacon Brownies are involved, though. I am 100% sure of that.
Not only do these brownies have whiskey and chopped bacon IN THE BATTER, they’re also topped with a dollop of caramel frosting and more bacon. I developed this recipe for the Draper James blog, Love, Reese. They’ve just released their line of tailgating products, which includes this wooden serving tray, gingham plates, snack bowls, and chip bowls! And they come in crimson. (The color of champions.) ♥
Head over to draperjames.com to check out their tailgating items and hit the link below for the recipe!

Do you make these to sell, or just leave us to drool over something which is far outside our skill set? I mean the snacks and cakes of course, hopefully I can handle the cocktail recipes.
This is one of the funniest posts ever! Love it!
Oh, man – I’ll bet this tasted great. I have had bacon on a donut, but not with chocolate brownies with whiskey. That has to be awesome.
This looks delicious – and Roll Tide!
